Poem about Freedom

My Beautiful Bird

Oh my beautiful bird of blue

Singing songs as lovely as you

Come join me, I’ll give you a home

You will no longer have need to roam

 –

Upon the porch swing you can sit

For you to sing and never quit

Oh lovely chick, why do you rage?

Don’t you like your beautiful cage?
